Scottish Sea Farms recently expanded its salmon farm in Eday, Scotland, to significantly increase production levels. From this, the firm created five new jobs.

Eday has a local population of less than 140 so the company had to recruit from outside, opening up the hiring pool to unique options.

"The remote location made recruitment difficult and required some ‘blue sky’ approaches," said Eday Site Manager Phil Boardman.

"We specifically targeted those who were seeking a lifestyle change and the result is a great range of people from different and diverse backgrounds.
