The Scottish Salmon Producers Organization (SSPO) said the government still has more planning to do in case of a no-deal Brexit.

It follows talks on Thursday between Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Michael Gove and representatives of Scotland's seafood sector.

Talks centered on dealing with potential certifications, transport hold-ups, and compensations for extra tariff barriers should the United Kingdom leave the European Union without being able to agree terms of its withdrawal.

SSPO, the Scottish Seafood Association, Fishing Vessel Owners and Agents Association, as well as key lawmakers joined the talks.
