The Northwest Atlantic Fisheries Organization (NAFO) is recommending a total allowable catch (TAC) of 105,000 metric tons for the West Greenland coldwater shrimp fishery in 2018.

The quota recommendation is an increase of 17 percent from the 90,000 metric tons allocated for the fishery this year.

The TAC advice for East Greenland and Denmark is recommended to remain unchanged at 2,000 metric tons, according to the NAFO.
