After infectious salmon anemia (ISA) detection at two farms earlier this month sent a nervous ripple through the Chilean aquaculture industry, SalmonChile President Maria Eugenia Wagner jumped to calm both the country's farmers and producers and those who import Chilean salmon.
"We are naturally concerned when we detect this virus," Wagner told IntraFish. "However, it is important to restate that today's situation is not in any way comparable with what we faced in 2007.
