Nordea Markets analyst Kolbjorn Giskeodegaard estimates prices will span from around NOK 30 (€3.68/$5.21) to NOK 32 (€3.93/$5.56).
The average price last year was NOK 30.50 (€3.74/$5.30), according to the NOS statistics.
Giskeodegaard reminded IntraFish about the favorable situation for the rate of exchange a year ago, when the euro was up to NOK 10 (€1.22/$1.73).
“If the rate had still been as high, the price of salmon as at Dec. 31, 2009 would have been around NOK 37 (€4.54/$6.41),” he said.
