The price is not likely to fall during the slaughter on Monday and Tuesday, but will probably be corrected Wednesday, said Andre Skarbo, head of processing firm Norsk Sjomat.
At least one other exporter concurred.
The general prediction is prices will range between NOK41 and NOK42 ($6.90-$7/ €5.20-€5.30) per kilo for salmon of three to six kilos, reaching up to NOK 44 ($7.40/ €5.50) for fish weighing over five kilos.
On some areas, the picture is more mixed.
