Several buyers that IntraFish spoke on Friday, Aug. 5, reported of a lack of larger salmon –- i.e. salmon over 6 kilos – from southern Norway.
”There is a fight for fish due to be sent on the planes next week,” one buyer said.
His view was echoed by pretty much all other sources that IntraFish spoke to this Friday. From what they said, there is a lack of large salmon from southern Norway for next week’s purchases. That is pushing prices upwards.
