Salmon prices will drop considerably this week but this is normal for late July, as Norwegians finish their holidays and begin to harvest, while the buyers on the continent take vacation and close up shop.
According to several players IntraFish talked to, prices will drop on average around NOK 5 (€0.60/$0.81) this week.
Nasdaq’s prices showed around NOK 42 (€5/$6.80) for week 29, while this week (week 30) prices are around NOK 40 (€4.80/$6.40) to NOK 41 (€4.90/$6.60) for the farmers in the north of the country or NOK 41.50
