That’s according to salmon exporters and producers canvassed by IntraFish this Friday, Aug. 19.
A week ago, industry players said prices for this week were at NOK 25 (€3.19/$4.56) for fish of 3 to 4 kilos and NOK 26 (€3.31/$4.75) for larger fish.
Prices for next week’s sales (starting Aug. 22) have now dropped to NOK 21 (€2.68/$3.83) to NOK 22 (€2.8/$4.02) per kilo, IntraFish understands.
One exporter gave an even bleaker picture. Fish under 3 kilos is even selling for less than NOK 20 (€2.55/$3.65)
