Last week we reported prices of NOK 34 (€4.4/$6.5) to NOK 35 (€4.6/$6.7) per kilo paid to the producer for this week. These represented stable prices in relation to the previous week. Next week prices will drop again.
“NOK 31 (€4/$5.9) per kilo for size 3-4 and NOK 32 (€4.2/$6.1) for size 4 plus,” said one exporter before warning of an extremely difficult market. He claims the biggest aquaculture companies are selling salmon cheaper to customers than the exporters are managing to buy the fish for.
