Flat prices that may trend upwards in a nervous market - that’s the impression IntraFish is left with after speaking to six companies early Friday afternoon.
“Small salmon sizes have risen in price, while prices for large fish are dropping,” one North Norwegian producer told IntraFish.
He provided the following estimate, which is applicable to north Norwegian producers:
Size 2-3 kilos: NOK 23.50 (€3.2/$4) (up significantly)
Size 3-4 kilos: NOK 25 (€3.4/$4.3)
Size 4-5 kilos: NOK 26.50 (€3.6/$4.6)
Size 5-6 kilos: NOK 27.50
