Severnaya Director Prytz Borge Larsen, is taking the Russian competition authorities' ruling on the cartel claims of Russian salmon importers with great tranquility.
"Russia is Russia," he told IntraFish laconically. "But we obviously disagree with the verdict."
For more than a year the Russian anti-monopoly service FAS was investigating cartel activities of importers of Norwegian salmon and trout. On Tuesday, it named eight importers, which reportedly breached free competition rules at several occasions.
When asked if Severnaya will appeal the sentence, Larsen said a decision will be made within the next 10 days.
