That is according to the annual accounts that have just been delivered to the Bronnoysund Registers.

The company sold fish for NOK 129 million (€16.3 million/$23.5 million) last year compared with NOK 80 million (€10.1 million/$14.6 million) in 2009. The operation produced a profit of NOK 8.6 million (€1.1 million/$1.6 million). Before tax the company reported a result of NOK 7.9 million (€997,952/$1.4 million).

It has cost more than an arm and a leg to develop the Salma product (see fact sheet at right), but the investment in sea-fresh salmon is on the verge of providing the shareholders, Bremnes and the Tine group a very healthy yield.
