Norwegian salmon farmer SalMar appointed Trine Saether Romuld as its new chief financial officer (CFO) and chief operating officer (COO) on Wednesday. She begins in both roles on July 1.

She will replace Trond Tuvstein, who stepped down from the position earlier this month.

Romuld was previously CFO at Pan Fish -- which later became Marine Harvest and now Mowi -- and had also been a board member at both Bakkafrost and Havfisk when it was Aker Seafoods.

She has extensive experience from a broad range of management positions within seafood, consulting and auditing, from both Norwegian and international companies, SalMar said in a statement.
