UK supermarket J. Sainsbury reiterated its commitment to sourcing from Marine Stewardship Council (MSC)-certified fisheries, as parts of the Alaska salmon fishery announced plans to withdraw from certification.

The supermarket, which is the second largest in the UK behind Tesco and had turnover of £19.96 billion (€24.1 billion/$31 billion) in 2010, recently issued a press release on its 100th MSC-labeled product.
