Russian fishermen increased overall pollock harvest in the Sea of Okhotsk to 417,300 metric tons as of Feb. 24 -- up 13.7 percent compared with this time last year, according to new data by the country’s federal agency for fishery, Rosrybolovstvo.
The 'A' season pollock quota is used at 39 percent.
Pollock catches in the North Okhotsk Sea climbed 33.8 percent over the same period last year and reached 201,600 metric tons, making up 48.3 percent of the overall pollock 'A' season harvest.
