Russia’s Pacific Fisheries Research Center (TINRO) revealed its fishing forecast for the Russian Far East fishery basin for the first quarter of 2016. According to the report, the major fishery activity will be focused on pollock and herring in the Sea of Okhotsk.
Pollock is expected to make up the bulk of the landings between January through March with projected catches amounting to 808,300 metric tons, or 82.5 percent of total landings.
