Russia’s largest seafood group is looking to buy the country’s largest pollock quota holder and exporter, sources told IntraFish.
Russian Sea Group, the Moscow-listed importing and processing giant that is also expanding into salmon farming, is looking to buy Nakhodka Active Marine Fishery Base (NBAMR), the Russian pollock giant that controls around 100,000 metric tons of pollock quota.
Earlier this month, IntraFish reported that Russian Sea had hired Petr Savchuk, the former CEO of NBAMR, to lead its Far East fishing activities.
