Russia’s largest pollock supplier has dropped its Germany-based supply office in a bid to handle its European sales itself.
Nakhodka Active Marine Fishery Base (NBAMR) is to stop using Berlin-based Socop Intertrade for its European sales, an executive said.
Instead, a new subsidiary set up in the Czech Republic will handle the sales as of Jan. 1, NBAMR’s Deputy Sales and Marketing Director Andrey Buzin told IntraFish.
Named Nakhodka Seafood, the Czech subsidiary will be managed by Mikhail Darkin, the son of Oleg Darkin, who replaced Petr Savchuk as CEO in August.
