RMD-L, a fully owned subsidiary of Russian Fishery Company, gained preliminary approval by Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) to acquire a 100 percent stake in Vladivostok-based Dalintorg, a sister arm of Dalimport.
Dalintorg is a harvesting company operating in the Sea of Okhotsk, the Bering Sea and the Sea of Japan.
Dalintorg holds an overall pollock quota of 20,000 metric tons and 3,533 metric tons of Pacific herring for 2016.
According to the Russian Far Eastern Zolotoi Rog publication, the company supplies more than 80 percent of its catches to foreign markets.
