Russia’s leading seafood importers’ organization has sent a letter, signed by chairman D.A. Kotsyobinkiy, to the NSEC asking the Norwegians to up their engagement.
The biggest organization for Russian seafood importers -- Association of Fish Processing and Trading Companies (AFPTC) – represents almost 80 percent of the importers, measured in imported volume.
The letter states the Russian economy has been hard hit this last year by the global finance crisis but that sales of Norwegian, Vietnamese and Chinese seafood has gone well nonetheless – until October.
