Firda Sjofarmer (FS) controls 13 fish production licenses in the western Norwegian districts of Gulen, Hyllestad and Askvoll.

The company owns its own slaughterhouse, several smolt production licenses and has been granted a production sampling license. Recently its owner Ola Braanaas has also invested in selling fish directly to customers through Firda Seafood. He has also spent millions of Norwegian krone in renovating and restoring the old trading post and hamlet of Skjerjehamn.

In 2010 the Firda companies harvested 3.4 percent less fish than in 2009, but the good prices sent company revenue soaring.
