Royal Greenland is investing in Canadian crab and coldwater shrimp processor Quin-Sea Fisheries, the company announced Thursday.
The deal is an "important step towards cooperation and consolidation across country boundaries in the North Atlantic," it said.
Quin-Sea Fisheries annually processes and sells more than 11,000 metric tons of primarily crab and coldwater shrimp; supplemented by smaller volumes of whelk, sea cucumber, capelin and cod.
The company operates six land-based factories and it generates annual revenues in excess of CAD 60 million (€41.5 million/$45.1
