Royal Greenland's planned acquisition of Canadian fishing and processing company Quin-Sea Fisheries is a "first good step of consolidation" for the North Atlantic coldwater shrimp industry, CEO Mikael Thinghuus told IntraFish.
For the Greenlandic company itself it will mean entering a fairly new market, he said.
"We're currently very strong in Europe and in Asia but we don't have a strong position in the North American market," he said.
