The company, based on a group of islands in Nord-Solvaer, mid-northern Norway, is one of the few aquaculture groups in Norway to operate with only one salmon license.

Yet that one license generated salmon sales of NOK 27 million (€3.4 million/$5 million) for 2010. Result before tax ended at NOK 9.6 million (€1.2 million/$1.8 million).

Since 2004, Larssen Seafood is 48 percent owned by Norway Royal Salmon, the producer that recently listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In 2010, the company produced 925 metric tons.
