The Asian shrimp industry needs to see an emergence of new business models if it is to remain a dominant exporter, according to Lian Heinhuis, seafood analyst at Rabobank, speaking at the International Coldwater Prawn Forum (ICWPF).

In recent years the region has been fraught with bio-security issues, resulting in devastating diseases such as Early Mortality Syndrome (EMS).
