That Knut Nesse will be the new boss of Dutch corporation Nutreco, can be seen as confirmation that aquaculture is strengthening its position over agriculture on a global level.
The Dutch corporation Nutreco is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of animal and fish feed. It has 100 factories in 30 countries, 10,000 employees and €4.7 billion ($6.3 billion) in turnover.
Nutreco is among the 30 biggest companies on the Euronex stock exchange in Amsterdam.
But the new boss is, at least essentially, a quiet, unassuming man from the countryside in Norway.
