The consumer inspection program Forbrukerinspektorene (FBI) has analyzed salmon sold in retail outlets and concluded these contain far less omega 3 than found in salmon previously.
The results show the following:
Salmon supplied by Findus has 2.1 percent omega 3, salmon supplied by Fiskemannen has 1.4 percent, Godehav had 1.3 percent, Salma had 1.1 percent and salmon from Leroy had just 0.7 percent.
This analysis is in rather stark contrast to a report that was published by the Directorate of Public Health on Monday.
