US food supplier Pinnacle Foods more than doubled its stake in tilapia with the launch of its ParchmentBake tilapia fillets last month, and as US consumer interest in healthy food grows, so is Pinnacle’s interest in selling more seafood under its Mrs. Paul’s and Van de Kamp’s seafood brands.
“People are seeing the popular importance of eating more fish,” Lisa Barrette, senior director of seafood at Pinnacle, told IntraFish.
