IntraFish Media presented its 2014 Person of the Year award during the Brussels seafood show at the annual IntraFish Leadership Luncheon on April 22.
The award was scooped by Thiraphong Chansiri, CEO of Thai Union Group, the first time an executive has been awarded the honor twice.
"Given the vision laid out by Chansiri for both his company, his country and the industry, this was a clear choice," IntraFish Media Publisher Paal Korneliussen said.
In addition to the Person of the Year presentation, the luncheon featured a special keynote presentation by Ian Smith, CEO at Clearwater Seafoods, followed by a panel discussion with Harry Harry Hoogendoorn, managing director at Queens, Peter Hajipieris, director for corporate social responsibility at Iglo, and Henrik Vikjaer Andersen, director Japan and South Korea at the Norwegian Seafood Council.
