Operations at German frozen fish giant Pickenpack -- which filed for voluntary bankruptcy proceedings on Wednesday -- will continue as usual, the insolvency administrators said in a statement sent to IntraFish.
The district court in Luneburg ordered Hamburg-based lawyer Friedrich von Kaltenborn-Stachau of law firm BRL Böge Rohde Luebbehuesen as preliminary administrator on Thursday.
Pickenpack applied for the opening of insolvency proceedings on Dec. 2. The process involves Pickenpack Holding Germany GmbH, Pickenpack Europe GmbH, Pickenpack Production Luneburg GmbH and Riepe-based The Seafood Traders GmbH (TST).
