Novartis is one of the world’s three biggest pharmaceutical companies. Turnover last year amounted to $50 billion (€34.6 billion). More than 60 percent of sales were directly connected to human medicine.
The animal health segment only accounts for three percent of the multinational giant’s total sales. In regard to animal health on a global scale 60 percent goes to pets.
Aquaculture only accounts for 4 percent of Novartis Animal Health’s turnover.
