With the quota for the largest anchovy fishery in the world slashed by 68 percent for this year’s second fishing season, the entire Peruvian anchovy industry – which supplies most of the world’s fishmeal and fish oil – is pushing Peru’s Minister of Fisheries to reassess the biomass, Copeinca CFO Angel Chiri told IntraFish.
