Dutch fishing and processing firm Parlevliet & Van der Plas (P&P) is building two new whitefish vessels, with an investment of €35 million ($47.7 million) each, Oskar Sigmundsson, managing director at P&P daughter Bremerhaven-based German Seafrozen Fish, told IntraFish.

The vessels are being built in Turkey by Tersan and have a capacity of 1,000 metric tons each. Both are 86.10 meters long, ST-117L design, and will most likely replace two vessels in the existing fleet.

This means further commitment to sea-frozen processing by the companies.
