In spite of high raw material prices and a tough consumer landscape, Brooklyn-based Acme Smoked Fish Co. not only survived -- it thrived.
The biggest news for Acme in 2013 was that it finally reached maximum capacity at its New York location, and would be building a brand-new, state-of-the-art plant in North Carolina. Over the course of 2014, those plans developed further, and the new operation is just months away from being up and running.
