Outgoing SalMar CEO: Despite record results, second round as top exec 'most challenging period'

SalMar boss Leif Inge Nordhammer told IntraFish his second stint as CEO of SalMar has been the most challenging in his time at the group.

Nordhammer was SalMar’s CEO from 1996 to 2011, and then again from January 2014.

Last week the company announced he will step down, handing over the reigns to current Akva Group CEO Trond Williksen as of Jan. 1, 2017. Nordhammer will continue as CEO until "other arrangements are made."

Once he vacates the CEO seat, however, he will still continue to work for SalMar.
