The most deadly Bering Sea opilio crab season in recent history left many vessels scrambling to catch their quota, but thanks to teamwork and a two week season season extension, the fleet pulled in the entire 80 million pound quota allocated for the 2012 season.
Yet the successful catch is just a small part of what crabbers will tuck away in their memories about this season.
"This was the most brutal season I've ever gone through in 25 years," Seabrooke captain Scott Campbell Junior told IntraFish.
