South African fishing giant Oceana Group on Tuesday confirmed Imraan Soomra as its new CEO, effective Aug. 1.
Soomra was appointed interim CEO in February, after former CEO Francois Kuttel announced his resignation earlier that month to take on a controlling stake of Westbank Fishing, which operates the Daybrook Fisheries fleet in the United States.
Oceana said Soomra served as Oceana’s CFO since July 2013 and worked closely with Kuttel in growing shareholder value.
