Icelandic Group's decision to sell its subsidiary Ny-Fiskur didn't come as a surprise, Thorsteinn Magnusson, managing director at Ny-Fiskur, told IntraFish.
Last week, the group officially launched the sales procedure for the company, which processes around 6,000 metric tons of raw material every year at its plant in Sandgerdi, Iceland.
"It has been an interesting time at Ny-Fiskur," Magnusson, who joined the company in November 2015, said.
"We knew the owners had the intention to sell, so it wasn't surprising. But we didn't know the timeline."
