Since its acquisition by Nutreco 2.5 years ago, Ecuadorian feed producer Gisis – which operates under the brand Diamasa – has been making the most of being owned by an experienced multinational corporation.
Nutreco, which is now owned by Dutch trading firm SHV, completed its acquisition of 75 percent of the shares in Gisis in June 2013.
Prior to this, Gisis was the shrimp and fish feed subsidiary of the Expalsa Group, which still retains a 25 percent stake in the company.
