How much can the market bear at once? Record-high price levels of shrimp and farmed salmon? Pricey Mussels? Expensive canned tuna? The UN FAO's Fish Price Index is up more than 16 percent over last year.
There has to be another way. Or at least another protein. What about beef? Damn. Poultry? Nope. Pork? Ah, crap. Ostrich? Can't even get your hands on it. Unless, of course, you want to grow your own.

"You're going to see it across all proteins," Phil Gibson, senior vice president with Encore Associates told IntraFish.
