Norwegian Atlantic salmon prices continue to go strong into the New Year, recording slight price rising for next week. However, abundant volumes of bigger fish continue to pressure prices, sources told IntraFish.
"Prices are going up slightly, but not for large fish," one importer told IntraFish. "Prices for big sizes remain stable and are even slightly down week-on-week, resulting in similar prices for all sizes."
He said prices would hit NOK 44 (€4.90/$5.70) per kilogram next week for all weight classes he purchased this Friday, which included 3-4 kg, 4-5 kg, and 5-6 kg from farmers in the south.
