Farmed Atlantic salmon prices from Norway are expected to hit record levels of NOK 54 (€6.40/$8.80) next week, despite a reduction in production forecast for the holiday period.
“The spot price has never been above NOK 50 (€5.90/$8.10) on average per week. It has never happened since we started measuring in 1995,” Piotr C. Wingaard from the salmon exchange Fish Pool told IntraFish.
Next week the average price for Norwegian salmon will reach NOK 54 (€6.40/$8.80), according to Kolbjorn Giskeodegard, senior analyst at Nordea Bank.
