Norwegian salmon prices recover on drop in volumes

Norwegian salmon prices are recovering again from last week's drop, several sources within the industry told IntraFish, continuing the fluctuating trend seen throughout the year.

Six different industry watchers confirmed prices of around NOK 38 (€4.50/$5.10) per kilogram, delivered Oslo, this Friday.

"Prices are up NOK 3 (€0.36/$0.40) to NOK 4 (€0.48/$0.54) from levels seen on April 30," one exporter told IntraFish. "Little volume came onto the market this week, which is pushing up prices.

"Let's hope prices will stabilize," he said.
