Norwegian salmon prices hit historic gap

On July 23, IntraFish reported of a price gap of NOK13between the biggest (SUP7+) and smallest-sized (SUP 1-2) salmon, based on NOSprices for week 29.

The prices for week 31 now show a gap of almost NOK 15 (€2.1/$2.5) betweenthe largest and smallest salmon. This means the kilo price for large fish isalmost twice as high, standing at NOK31.64 for seven+ fetched salmon as opposedto NOK 16.71 (€2.3/$2.8) for the smallest size.

In week 30 IntraFish examined industry sizes from three toseven kilos and found out that the industry size three-four was valued at NOK21.44
