Norwegian salmon prices remain flat or are moving up slightly from levels seen last Friday in what industry sources call a "hesitant market."
"It's difficult, very difficult. Buyers in Europe are hesitant. They feel they have been cheated by Norwegian exporters because prices in recent weeks have fallen from Friday levels into each week. Therefore, they don't want to buy now but rather wait," one exporter told IntraFish.
According to this supplier, exporters are also hesitant as no one wants to make the first move.
