“The idea that there are a lot of antibiotics in the fish is still hanging on,” said Peter Koch-Bodes of the German fishmongers’ federation, who also runs the family business, Delkatessen der Meere, which was established in 1860 and is located in the center of Bremen.
He regrets the general public’s impression of Norwegian salmon.
"Farmed salmon has received a lot of bad press, just like the chicken industry. You won’t get out of this situation through the usual ad campaigns," Koch-Bodes said.
