Flakstadvaag, from Senja, north Norway earned a whopping NOK 74.9 million (€9.6 million/$13.6 million) before tax last year. The Senja company thereby chalked up a new record.
The company is controlled by Brodrene Karlsen at Husoy. NOK 30 million (€3.8 million/$5.4 million) has been allocated to payment of dividends.
Flakstadvaag has six fish farming production licenses. Sales volume for the company last year amounted to NOK 238 million (€30.4 million/$43.1 million). This was also a new record. Several years ago the company had just three production licenses.
