The companies -- listed below -- will now face inspections by Russian authorities in the weeks of May 17 and May 24.
The 25 Norwegian firms that already export to Russia will not face any inspection, Henning Osnes Teigene, who heads exports and imports at the Norwegian Food Safety Authority, told IntraFish.
In late April, Russia announced it opened up the application process to allow more Norwegian seafood exporters entering its market. Companies were given until May 3 to apply.
Russia made its announcement the day after Russia and Norway reached a historical agreement over the delimitation of the Barents Sea.
