The finalists for this year’s smoked and cured salmon championship were announced after a selection process conducted between May 10 and May 12.
The shortlisting was carried out by four judges who selected five products in each category: cold-smoked salmon, hot-smoked salmon, cold-smoked trout, cured salmon and open class.
In total, 76 products from 23 different producers were tasted, and in the next phase, 24 randomly selected experts will be blind-folded to taste the finalist products.
The winners will be announced at AquaNor 2017, to be held in Trondheim in August.
